Natural ways to depuff eyes

Natural ways to depuff eyes

Dehydration causes puffy eyes

Puffy eyes can mean a lot of things including lack of sleep, illness, emotional troubles, bouts of crying and much more. Mostly, a night of sipping Champagne or eating salty foods can lead to fluid retention around the eyes.

Here are ways to cure puff eyes:

Wrap a bag of frozen vegetables in a thin towel and place it over your eyes for 10 minutes. The cold of the bag stimulates circulation under the eyes, which helps bring down that fluid.

Get lots of sleep. The easiest and most passive way to de-puff your eyes is to get lots of sleep. Get at least 7-8 hours sleep every night.

Keep yourself hydrated. The eyes around the skin may seem puffed because the skin itself is dehydrated and sore. Maintain an optimum fluid intake. Even most experts say that water or fluid is your best weapon when it comes to skin related issues, and fixing puffy eyes is no different.

Quick tips to avoid puffy eyes

If you know you will be drinking alcohol or eating salty foods, be sure to drink lots of water. You will be less likely to puff out the next morning.

To help prevent puffy eyes, prop up your head on two pillows when you go to sleep. Gravity is your friend when it comes to fluid retention.
