The new season is right around the corner, and as with every season, the fashions will change along with the weather. Here are seven new fashion trends that have already hit the streets—and will be appearing more and more in the coming months.
Shirts with slogans and pictures are all the rage this season. Take a cue from Rihanna, who effortlessly rocks the graphic look.
Bold sweatshirts are a new way to keep warm in the coolness of the night. Try one with a cool pattern on it, like Beyoncé, or one that is embellished with pieces of metal or plastic, another hot trend for the season.
Floral prints are the latest way to look fashionable, fresh off the runways. It shouldn’t be hard to find a piece of your own, with Rwanda’s abundance of floral fabrics! Take a cue from Rwandan singer Allioni, who wears a fashionable floral short and shirt set.
The colour orange is the new hottest colour for the season, and Rwandans are in luck—bright orange looks amazing on women with darker skin. Singer Knowless knows this well, as orange is one of the signature colours that she wears often.
Skirts are already common wear in Rwanda, but the current trend for this season to wear long, full skirts with lots of fabric, such as the one that Beyoncé wears below.
Simple, white blouses are making a comeback this season. This piece of clothing is extremely versatile, and goes with just about everything, from long skirts to skinny pants. Here, Rwandan artist Ciney pairs it with a cheerful yellow skirt.
