Varsity beauty queen is stripped of her crown due to examination malpractices
A university student has been stripped of her crown as the school’s reigning Miss. Miss Samantha Ghislaine Uwase was caught in what the administration referred to as “examination practices” at the College of Business and Economics (CBE), formerly the School of Finance and Banking (SFB) where she is currently schooling, and has been, with immediate effect, dethroned as Miss CBE 2013/2014.
Samantha was crowned Miss CBE 2013/2014 on November 4th 2013 amid great fanfare but her celebrations have only lasted for a few months after the latest incident. The developments have confirmed in a letter from the school’s management (which rwandafashionista.com has been able to obtain a copy) dated 29th January 2014 addressed to the public.
The letter was signed and stamped by the College’s principal Dr. Papias Musafiri Malimba.
There was no mentioning of whether Miss Samantha would be expelled from the school as is the norm, but reliable sources from the school have told rwandafashionista.com that chances are high that it will happen.
Samantha becomes the second reigning Miss University to be caught in such a scandal after Miss National University of Rwanda Mutesi Dorah was caught cheating in an examination in 2010.
The latter was lucky though as she escaped expulsion from the institution and furthermore she retained her crown – but not her reputation.
