Former Miss Rwanda issues apology for conceiving out of wedlock
Miss Rwanda 2009 Bahati Grace has sent out an apology for conceiving out of wedlock while still wearing the crown four years ago. Grace was crowned Miss Rwanda then, but things got uglier when she fell pregnant and in turn received an expected backlash from all corners. The beauty queen opted to go ahead with the delivery of the baby and made the news public that the father of the child was famous rapper K8 Kavuyo.
But now that the dust has settled down, Grace has finally come to terms with what happened to her and apologized to her fans for disappointing them. She said, “I know there are people who were disappointed in me and I am sorry for that. As a reigning Miss, I made a big mistake and I hope this will serve as a lesson for all young girls.”
But in spite of the shortcomings, Grace feels it’s a blessing having her child. She feels it’s been going well for her and that she is trying to get back on track. Bahati Grace was replaced by the reigning Miss Umutesi Aurore who was crowned Miss Rwanda 2012. At the time Bahati was absent for the handing over of the crown.
