Skinny jeans are snug-fitting jeans that emphasize a woman’s legs and curves. When you wear skinny jeans, make sure your shoes do not detract from the jeans’ sleek and sexy silhouette. Appropriate shoe choices that flatter skinny jeans include knee-high boots, booties, flats, heels and sneakers.

Skinny jeans are skin-tight and tapered at the ankles. While skinny jeans look suitable with heels and sandals, many people also wear this style of jeans with sneakers.

Ankle boots or booties

Wear your skinny jeans with booties or ankle boots for a trendy, alternative look. Both shoes have a small heel that adds height, lengthens your legs and accentuates the tapered look of the skinny jean.

To wear skinny jeans with ankle boots or booties, tuck your jeans inside the shoes for a seamless appearance. If there is space between the bottom of your jeans and your boots, your legs will appear shorter

Ballet flats
Ballet flats are shoes without heels that are shaped like ballet shoes. Wear them with skinny jeans for a polished yet relaxed look. Ballet flats are comfortable on your feet and look great with the tapered silhouette of the skinny jean.

Feel free to be creative when it comes to choosing ballet flats. They come in various prints, colors and textures. Simply make sure the color of your flats matches your jean wash. For example, flats with warm tones, such as brown patent leather, work well with darker washes.

Wear heels with your skinny jeans to make your legs look long and lean. The structure of heels causes your feet to point, which emphasizes the long tapered look of the skinny jeans.

Heels 4

Select heels that are more dainty than chunky to avoid looking heavy on your feet. Pointy-toed stilettos work well to accentuate the silhouette of the skinny jean, especially if you are going for a sleek, sexy look.

Knee-high boots

Depending on the look you want to achieve, choose among different styles of knee-high boots. For example, to go for a sleek style, wear black patent leather knee high boots with blue or black denim jeans and tuck in skinny jeans to create an edgy look.

To make your legs seem longer, consider wearing high-heeled boots. The added height coupled with the tight skinny jeans will make your legs look endless.

Choose a sneaker that has a low-profile, such as a pair of slip-on flats. Low-profile sneakers that slip onto the foot will create an illusion that the leg is longer, since the footwear is not so overwhelming to the outfit.

Sneakers 6

Avoid wearing sneakers with chunky or bulky soles, like work boots or cross-trainers. Since the skinny jean is so tight, larger shoes will make the entire foot appear larger, and overwhelm your outfit.

Wearing sneakers with skinny jeans is acceptable, though the best type of sneakers to wear are those with thin soles because bulky shoes may detract from the entire look. When wearing skinny jeans, you should remember that because the pants are so tight, the type of shoes you wear may enhance your leg or make it appear bulky.
